Joni Mitchell joined Sarah McLachlan and Allison Russell for a special performance at the 2026 Juno Awards.

The beloved 82-year-old singer made a rare public appearance after being honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award during the ceremony on Sunday night (29.03.26) at the TD Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario.

The duo shared the stage for a medley of Mitchell's songs including A Case of You and Both Sides Now, before the music icon stepped out for Big Yellow Taxi.

Other musicians flooded the stage for the powerful moment, with the star beaming.

During her speech, she reflected: "I had a [brain] aneurysm, which changed my life — oddly, for the better.

“I went into a coma, which helped me to quit smoking. And my house filled up with the most wonderful nurses.

"I was, on the road with men for years and years; now I live with a house full of women. So my life has changed for the better, out of a catastrophe, like a phoenix who grows a better life.”
