Chappell Roan begs fans to stop ‘harassing’ her as she’s swarmed outside restaurant
Chappell Roan had another uneasy run-in with fans in Paris.
Chappell Roan filmed the moment she was surrounded by fans and photographers while simply trying to go out for dinner in Paris, telling followers she felt “disregarded as a human” as people ignored her repeated requests for space.
The 28-year-old singer filmed the incident in selfie mode as she stepped out of her car to head into a restaurant, immediately finding herself surrounded by a crowd.
Showing their proximity, she said in footage filmed by an onlooker and going viral on socail media: “I’m just trying to go to dinner, and I’ve asked these people several times to get away from me."
Roan then focused on one person who continued to ask for an autograph despite her pleas.
The agitated musician said: “This person I’ve asked several times to go away, and they will not… They’re hiding their face, because they’re ashamed."
Visibly shaken, she told viewers she felt “disregarded as a human,” adding: “These are all the people that are completely disregarding my boundaries.”
She then addressed the crowd directly: “All of you, I’m asking you kindly to please leave me alone and stop following me and harassing me. No, I’m not gonna sign.”
Roan ended the clip by turning the camera back on herself and saying: “This is what it’s like, if you were wondering how it is.”
The Pink Pony Club hitmaker voiced her fears about being a celebrity in a candid interview with The Face magazine.
She said: "I feel like fame is just abusive. The vibe of this - stalking, talking s*** online, [people who] won’t leave you alone, yelling at you in public – is the vibe of an abusive ex-husband.
"That’s what it feels like. I didn’t know it would feel this bad."
