'Shadow' is the first single from the upcoming Count Yer Lucky Stars album from Atlanta, Georgia's brilliantly named Gringo Star. The follow-up to 2008's critically acclaimed debut, 'All Y'all,' the Georgians showcase their catchy blend of pop and indie once more with the first glimpse of what to expect on Count Yer Lucky Stars when it comes out on April 30th 2012.
The out-there video shows the group performing in a forest as a whole lot of crazy happenings occurring around them, most notably involving a girl, some balloons and a guy in a squirrel outfit. The fireworks that are ignited during the video work well as signs of the group's own explosive sound, as they look sure to take on the musical world with a bang. With the Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Gnarls Barkley, Deer Hunter) produced 'Shadow' we have one of the best views of the group on offer as they flaunt what they've got with enough electricity to make even the most listener want to start tapping their feet along to the music.
Be sure to catch the band when they make their way to British shores for the first time later in the year, with the confirmed shows so far listed below.
