The Saturdays’ star Frankie Bridge has used a new interview to confront an internet troll who threatened her and a number of other women with rape.

The 26 year old singer, who is married to former England footballer Wayne Bridge and has two children with him, says that she was branded “fat” by several social media users while she was pregnant with her first son in 2013.

Opening up about the effect that online trolls have had on her in a conversation with Victoria Derbyshire for BBC Two, Bridge (maiden name Sandford) had the opportunity to confront the troll in person as a separate part of the feature. She told the man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, how she felt about the abuse she received.

It’s been a while since Simon Webbe was a part of international pop sensation Blue, but he’s returning to the spotlight this year as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing. Webbe made the announcement on ITV's Good Morning Britain.

Webbe, who fell on hard times after Blue, is getting right back on that horse.

‘I am so happy to be joining the team and I cannot wait to get started,’ Simon said.

It was all kicking off for some reason or other between Frankie Sandford and Mylene Klass at the Glamour awards. Apparently the pair became pals when Klass’ ex Graham Quinn worked with The Saturdays, however as you may well know (we presume you do since you’re actually reading this) Klass and Quinn are now in the middle of divorce proceedings and it’s believed that Sandford has taken the side of Quinn.

So here’s what happened at the Glamour event, according to a source at The Mirror. “Myleene smiled at Frankie but was ignored. The poor thing felt really stupid and angry.” Apparently this was just one of what have been several public blankings. The source continued “She stormed over to Frankie to have it out, asking her why she kept being so rude. Myleene said she thought they used to be friends and recalled all the times she’d invited Frankie to her home and supported her when she had a few problems.”

This source must’ve been standing right next to them, perhaps even goading them on like they were at a school playground fight, because they’ve got a pretty clear memory of the whole thing. “Frankie looked pretty shell-shocked and mumbled something about it being awkward” they added. “This was like a red rag to a bull to Myleene, who basically accused her of taking Gray’s side. They glared at one another across the room for the rest of the evening.” So fascinating.

Pregnant Frankie Sandford must be feeling very broody at the moment after her bandmate Rochelle Humes gives birth to baby Alaia-mai on Monday (May 20th 2013).

'Oh my goodness absolute baby bliss! Alaia-mai is gorgeous! Seeing them all together was so lovely. New little family. Come on baby Bridge!', The Saturdays singer gushed on Twitter after visiting Marvin Humes and Rochelle Humes following the birth of their first child. Frankie is clearly enjoying the thought of upcoming motherhood alongside her fiancé Wayne Bridge, also posting a photo of some tiny Vans trainers on the social networking site with the caption, 'So tempted! Need these little ones in my life!! Too cute.' However, she admits that she is struggling with some of her cravings telling Heatworld at 'The Hangover Part III' premiere: 'I was never really a big drinker before I got pregnant. But now that I'm not allowed, I really want one!' She also confessed to having a yearning for strawberries, which can't be all bad.

Meanwhile, following the arrival of little Alaia-mai Marvin has assured friends and fans that everything is fine. 'This morning we welcomed our baby girl Alaia-Mai Humes..Mum is doing great & baby is amazing! We are both overjoyed! Thanks for your love x' he posted on Monday.

 The Saturdays' Frankie Sanford announced earlier this week that she and her soon-to-be husband Wayne Bridge are expecting their first child together. The singer Tweeted on on Thursday (May 2) afternoon: "Some big news from me today! Wayne and I are having a baby. We are both SO happy and can't wait for his or hers arrival!"

The singer and her footballer boyfriend, who really hit the ground running after his ex-wife had an affair with his then Chelsea teammate John Terry in 2009, were soon swarmed with messages from well wishers, with her Saturdays bandmates leading the way in terms of messages for the happy couple.

Frankie Sandford is the third Saturday to start a family.

It’s all smiles in The Saturdays camp, with band mates piling on the congrats to Frankie Sandford who has revealed that she and footballer boyfriend Wayne Bridge are having their first child together!

As tends to be the way of things these days, Sandford broke the news on Twitter, writing “Some big news from me today! "Wayne and I are having a baby. We are both SO happy and can’t wait for his or hers arrival!" She joins her band pals Una Healy, who had a baby girl last year, and Rochelle Humes, who is expecting her first child soon. They were among the first to congratulate Sandford on her news, with Humes – who is married to Marvin of the soon-to-be-breaking-up JLS – writing "@FrankieTheSats yay news is out!!! Can’t wait to be an auntie again. And for my lil one to have a partner in crime xx :-) congrats xx." We’re not sure if being in a group together really means you can officially be an Auntie, Rochelle, but fair play to you for your enthusiasm. Healy, who is married to rugby player Ben Foden, wrote "So happy and excited for our @FrankieTheSats and Wayne’s baby news!! X"

Other Saturdays members Mollie King and Vanessa White both tweeted too, with King writing: "Soooo unbelievably excited for @FrankieTheSats and Wayney! Bring on the baba! Sats Juniors is really coming together xxx."  Vanessa White added: "Congrats to @FrankieTheSats & Wayne on their big news! Xxx."

Frankie Sandford – best known for her time in The Saturdays – is expecting a baby with her footballer fiancé, Wayne Bridge. She took to twitter to let her fans know the good news.

“Some big news from me today!” she tweeted, perhaps forgetting about Wayne. “Wayne and I are having a baby. We are both SO happy and can't wait for his or hers arrival!” Oh no, look, she remembered she has a fiancé. There’ll be no trouble with putting this kid through school; Bridge is still under contract at Manchester City, despite playing on loan at Brighton this season. This means he picks up a (reported) cool £92k a week. “So happy and excited for our @FrankieTheSats and Wayne's baby news!! X'” said her band mate Una Healy. The Saturdays' official Twitter page added: “Lots and lots of love to @FrankieTheSats and Wayne on their big news!! The Sats family is growing and we are SO thrilled for them! Xx”

The news comes soon after the announcement her and the former England left back are to be married. Posting a picture of her diamond ring on Twitter in early April, the 24-year-old wrote: “Guess what?!!!” She told MailOnline at the time: “Wayne proposed to me on Saturday evening and I said yes. We are both very happy.” This will be a welcome distraction for Frankie, who has suffered a long and public battle with depression. Things are looking up though!

Frankie Sandford has finally revealed the details of Wayne Bridge's apparently romantic proposal last week, and it ain't pretty. Well, it probably comes across as quite cute to the bulk of you, but really, it's horrendous. Hell, it involves dogs in bride and groom's outfits.

She told Lisa Snowden and Dave Berry on Capital's Breakfast Show, "Wayne took me to a hotel and he got my dogs involved. I didn't know my dogs were there and they came in in little bride and groom outfits. And Pixie had the ring around her neck on a ribbon." To be fair to Sanford, she admitted that the proposal might sound a little strange to anyone who isn't obsessed with dogs. "I think for people who aren't dog fans it's a bit of a weird proposal so I feel like I only want to tell people who like dogs," she added. 

Just weeks before the proposal, the Saturdays singer had assured the press that Wayne had no plans to propose and even began to have doubts about her relationship when he began acting strange. "He'd been acting so weird that when he left to come back in and do the whole proposal thing in my head I was thinking, 'Oh no we've become one of those couples that can't make conversation at dinner.I was panicking! But it was because he was pooing himself all night. And then my family came in and surprised us."

Frankie Sandford has become the third member of The Saturdays to get engaged, leaving just Mollie King and Vanessa White without rings on their fingers. Her girl group buddies Una Healy and Rochelle Humes both married last year. Now it’s Frankie’s turn to walk up the aisle and she’ll be doing so with her footballer beau Wayne Bridge, the Bright on & Hove Albion player.

Frankie broke the news on Twitter, as all good celebrities do these days. There’s nothing like sharing your love for your man with a 140 character message and an Instagram snap, after all. Accompanied by a picture of Wayne kissing her cheek and Frankie holding her newly-bejewelled hand up to her lips in mock surprise, Frankie simply said “Guess what?!!!!” Well, it wasn’t hard to guess, of course, so the messages of congratulations came flooding in. Amongst the first to publicly congratulate her were her band mates. Una Healy tweeted “So Happy for @FrankieTheSats and Wayne who have recently got engaged X.” The official Saturdays Twitter account was quick with the love, too, posting “LOTS AND LOTS of love and best wishes to our @FrankieTheSats and Wayne!! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together! xoxo"
