Dylan Sprouse has revealed that a curious otter witnessed his marriage proposal.
Dylan Sprouse's marriage proposal was witnessed by a sea otter.
The 31-year-old actor proposed to Barbara Palvin in California in 2022, and Dylan has revealed that a curious otter witnessed the special moment.
He said on the 'Tamron Hall Show': "Big Sur is an immensely beautiful place ... and I knew I wanted to do it there."
Dylan was fully aware of his surroundings when he decided to propose.
He explained: "I was like, 'Okay, we're gonna get down on the knee there's gonna be tons of sea otters all around' ... and as soon as we were walking in to the wildlife park, one of the rangers came up and said, 'Hey, just to let you guys know, we haven't seen sea otters here in months'.
"I was like, all right, we're here anyway, and I'm already in a button-down on a hike.'"
Two miles into his hike, Dylan got down on one knee "over a beautiful vista".
The actor added: "She said yes, thankfully, and then immediately afterwards, we see a little head bob out of the water, and he rolls on his back, and he looks up at us."
Meanwhile, Barbara previously admitted that she felt "stressed" by her engagement to Dylan.
The 30-year-old model revealed that she worried more about her engagement than actually getting married.
Barbara - who tied the knot in 2023 - told V magazine: "I’m really not nervous about getting married.
"I think the engagement stressed me more than the wedding.
"I mean, a man has time to prepare for the proposal - Dylan kept the ring for seven months before he asked the question - but for me, it was right then and there.
"I knew since we started dating that I want to marry him, but it’s a big decision."
