Jennifer Aniston Hints The Guys Are The Only Ones Holding Up A 'Friends' Reunion

Jennifer Aniston Friends

The addition of ‘Friends’ to Netflix this time last year has since stoked the desire for, and speculation about, a reunion of the massively successful sitcom.

However, one of its stars, Jennifer Aniston, has said that the prospects of such a get-together are very small – because “the boys are a little less excited” about the idea.

Speaking as a guest on James Corden’s ‘The Late Late Show’ on Tuesday evening (December 11th), the 49 year old actor, who played Rachel, explained that Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer were all reluctant to get back into their respective roles of Joey, Chandler and Ross.

'Friends' Co-Creator David Crane Reveals Ross And Rachel ARE Still Together

With the series having been obtained by Netflix earlier this year, fans of ‘Friends’ were given a real treat, and the show and its famous storylines were brought back into the public eye for the first time in a while.

Now, co-creator David Crane has spilled the beans on whether Ross and Rachel actually stayed together. Crane, who devised the series with co-writer Marta Kauffman, was speaking at a comedy showrunners panel for The Wrap’s Emmy series on Wednesday (June 6th).

He was asked whether Ross and Rachel – portrayed by David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston and whose on/off romance was the central dynamic throughout all ten seasons – would still be together, 14 years on. “Yes. Come on, they worked really hard, ten years,” he revealed. Aw.

Matthew Perry Doesn't Remember Filming Three Seasons Of 'Friends'

Matthew Perry Friends

Matthew Perry has opened up about his past struggles with substance abuse, claiming that he has virtually no recollection of about three years of filming ‘Friends’ because of his addiction.

The 46 year old actor was interviewed on Chris Evan’s breakfast show on BBC Radio 2 last Friday (January 22nd), and when he was asked about his favourite and least favourite episodes of the hit show, in which he played the sarcastic Chandler Bing for ten years, he admitted that he had very little memory of some seasons.

British fans of ‘Friends’ trying to get their heads round the fact that their beloved sitcom ended over 10 years ago will be pleased to hear that David Schwimmer will be returning to Channel 4 for a new comedy series in 2016.

Schwimmer, who played Ross Geller in ten series of ‘Friends’ between 1994 and 2004, will be starring in a six-part series called ‘Morning Has Broken’. Created by Julia Davis, he’ll be playing the part of an American TV producer brought in to rescue a failing British daytime TV show that features Gail Sinclair, a self-styled ‘queen of daytime’ played by Davis herself.

Paul McCartney Almost Guest Starred In 'Friends'!

An extraordinary piece of might-have-been casting news has emerged: the people behind the smash sitcom ‘Friends’ came close to getting Sir Paul McCartney to guest star in an episode!

In a new interview with The Huffington Post, the NBC show’s casting director Leslie Litt revealed that she tried extremely hard to get the ex-Beatle to star as Ross’ would-be father-in-law in a 1998 episode, but it conflicted too much with his recording and touring schedule for him to fit in.

Litt envisaged McCartney as playing Ross’s (David Schwimmer) English fiancée Emily’s (Helen Baxendale) father in the two-part finale to season 4.

Jennifer Aniston Cupping Marks Reveal Chinese Treatment

Jennifer Aniston Friends Matthew Perry David Schwimmer

When we first heard of these Jennifer Aniston cupping marks, we thought it was another prank, played by her playful finance, Justin Theroux. But as it turns out, the ancient Chinese practice helps circulation to neck, shoulder pain, and detoxes the body.

So when the 44-year-old Friends star hit the red carpet for the Los Angeles screening of Call Me Crazy in a backless dress, the ‘cupping marks’ were there for all to see. And despite their ample health benefits, they’re not pretty to look at. She’s not the only one though; Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham, Jessica Simpson and David Arquette are all fellow celebrity cuppers. Sounds weird. Given Theroux’s penchant for ‘trickery’, we were justified in thinking it was a prank. Well, he calls it trickery. But he’s constantly hiding behind drapes. And I’m constantly scared. It’s like it doesn’t get old on me…’ explained Aniston to Ellen DeGeneres on her show.

90s Kids Look Away Now: There Will Be No Friends Reunion.

Did someone say “Friends reunion”? Technically, loads of people, but no one official. Sadly for all the devoted fans of the series (and there are definitely still a bunch of those around), the show’s co-creator Marta Kaufman has not only dismissed the current rumors, but she said a reunion of the 90s sitcom is never going to happen, Fox News reports. Well, that was a harsh letdown for everyone.

The buzz started earlier this week when reports surfaced that not only was a Friends reunion likely, but NBC had already confirmed the deal. There was even a photoshopped poster thrown into the mix, advertising “The One With The Reunion”, due to hit screens on Thanksgiving 2014. Kaufman, however, had this to say: “’Friends’ was about that time in your life when your friends are your family, and once you have a family, there’s no need anymore.”

According to her, now that the characters have families of their own, Ross, Rachel, Phoebe, Monica, Joey and Chandler are past their coffee shop days. Even the most devoted Friends fans can probably see how that makes sense, but the nostalgia still lives on. Warner Bros. also dismissed reports that a “Friends” movie was in development, telling Zap2it there is no “Friends”-related project being worked on by the studio. Harsh. But hey, maybe that means it's time for a re-watch.

Friends, Manifest! Album Review

How good must you have to be? How much faith in your own ability must you have? How long before you're the default that pops up on any search engine? If you're a relatively new band with a name synonymous with popular culture of an entirely different nature, you must be brilliant, extremely confident and have an enormous belief in yourself and your material. Rather than taking a more traditional route and naming your band something completely individual and unambiguous, some newer bands, namely Fun and now Friends (Having decided against Perpetual Crush) seem to have chosen a more challenging route to market. Having formed, practiced and gigged within six days and recorded within a calendar month, Friends clearly have a will and desire whose example would leap off the page of any self-development 'How To Be ...' management book. So are Friends (incidentally not named after a Beach Boys album or an Elton John song) the real deal, all smoke and mirrors, over-hyped and over here or justifiably acclaimed?

The momentum with which the Friends phenomenon has moved since they formed back in September 2010, has not yet reached terminal velocity but it is gathering pace. If Samantha Urbani, singer-song writer of the band, had had her way it may have moved even quicker. 'It's best to get shit done when you're inspired', she says. Samantha is not one to be over picky, preferring instead to act in the moment. Having been inspired to act after returning from Berlin to a trashed sub-let apartment and feeling quite depressed, Samantha and Friends have hardly had time to look back. 'Manifest!, the Brooklyn 5 piece's debut album release, represents another major milestone and, what's more, it is brim full of top ('Ex-Pop) tunes. She may be right when she says, 'Pop gets a bad wrap', but there is nothing manufactured, plastic or artificial about 'Manifest!' and, subsequently, nothing that could be conceived as bad.
