The actor was a little too big for his short shorts.
Armie Hammer has revealed that his shorts in Call Me By Your Name needed a little bit of digital retouching to stop the movie being X-rated.
Speaking to Andy Cohen on SirusXM, Monday, the actor revealed he suffered a wardrobe malfunction during filming because he was just too big for the super-short shorts.
You can see a lot (but not all) of Armie Hammer in Call Me By Your Name
“There was a few times where they had to go back and digitally remove my balls from the movie,” Hammer told Cohen. “They were short shorts — what are you gonna do?”.
Director Luca Guadagnino added: “It’s both things,” causing Cohen to clarify, “Short shorts and big balls is what you’re saying? Wow.”
Hammer then joked: “My mom’s going to love listening to this interview.”

Call Me By Your Name has been generating significant buzz for Hammer since it’s release, but not everyone seems happy at the actor’s success.
Last week Buzzed published an article entitled 'Ten Long Years Of Trying To Make Armie Hammer Happen', which asked if Hammer would have been given the same chances in his career if he wasn’t a white male from an affluent background.
Author Anne Helen Petersen wrote: “Is Hammer truly a unique star who’s finally finding his niche — or simply a beautiful, pedigreed white man who’s been allowed, in a way that few others in Hollywood have, endless attempts to discover it?”
Responding to the article on Twitter, Hammer told Petersen: “Your chronology is spot on but your perspective is bitter [as f**k]. Maybe I’m just a guy who loves his job and refuses to do anything but what he loves to do…?”.
However the actor has since quit the social media platform.
