The My Habit hitmakers were scheduled to perform a Live Lounge session for BBC Radio 1 but the group announced they would not be appearing.

In a post on Twitter.com, Philippakis writes, "Think i snapped my larynx," while the band's official account contains an apology and states they will "be back soon to smash it".

Bandmate Jack Bevan elaborated on the singer's vocal problems on Instagram.com, writing, "Sorry to anyone who was listening. Old mate is off to the doctors now. Hopefully we'll be back in the live lounge again soon. Xxxx".

The cancellation comes days after Foals appeared as surprise guests at Britain's Reading Festival over the weekend (28-30Aug15).
