Live Review: December 10 bring back boy band fever
The next generation of boy bands has arrived! Simon Cowell's December 10 are here.
The boys are back in town!
December 10 are here to prove that every generation deserves a megastar boy band.
Handpicked by Simon Cowell on Netflix series The Next Act, signed to EMI Records, and having released debut single Run My Way, the seven-piece boy band took to the stage at the O2 Academy Islington in London last Thursday night (19.02.26) and had the crowd of predominantly teenage girls screaming and capturing every moment on their smartphones.

December 10 - Cruz Lee-Ojo, Danny Bretherton, Hendrik Christoffersen, John Fadare, Josh Olliver, Nicolas Alves and Sean Hayden - hit the stage with harmonies tight, smiles wide and energy through the roof. From the very first note of their debut single, the crowd was on its feet, phones in the air, and the screams were ear-splitting. A perfect mix of nostalgia for classic boy bands and excitement for the next generation of pop.
Much has been made of comparisons to BTS, but honestly, seeing them live, it makes total sense. This isn’t arrogance, it’s ambition matched by talent. Their stage presence is already global-level, cheeky yet grounded, confident yet approachable. Daisies by Justin Bieber and an unexpected version of Bruce Springsteen's Dancing In The Dark also made the setlist.
The seven-song setlist hit the sweet spot between high-energy pop and heartfelt moments. Originals mixed seamlessly with a standout cover of NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye - reimagined with modern swagger, precision and a nod to boy band history.
One of the night’s highlights was Bad For Me, a new track that won’t drop until next month. Hearing it live gave the audience an exclusive thrill, and it’s already clear this will be a fan favourite the moment it hits streaming platforms.
And when the crowd demanded “one more song”, December 10 delivered a euphoric finale that left the room buzzing long after the spotlight dimmed its light.
There’s a definite resurgence of the boy band spirit here - think Boyzone and One Direction - but December 10 aren’t relying on nostalgia alone. They bring fresh, current pop while embracing everything that made boy bands iconic: harmonies, heart and charisma.
What makes them especially likeable is just how charmingly down-to-earth they are. Grateful, electrifying energy, and clearly loving every second on stage, they connected effortlessly with the crowd.
They have the natural charisma, vocal chops and smouldering dance moves to make fans swoon, scream, and fall in love with their magnetic stage presence.
If this is what December 10 look like at the very beginning, the future is looking huge.
Boy bands are back, and December 10 are leading the charge.
