Don Broco release new album Nightmare Tripping featuring Nickelback and Sam Carter
Don Broco return with their new album Nightmare Tripping, a heavy, genre‑shifting project featuring high‑profile collaborations.
Don Broco have released their new album Nightmare Tripping.
The band, known for blending metal, post‑hardcore, funk and electronica, push further into their experimental streak on the new record, created with longtime collaborator and producer Dan Lancaster.
Nightmare Tripping arrives with a series of standout collaborations, including the previously released title track featuring Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger and Ryan Peake.
The band have also dropped a new track, True Believers, featuring Sam Carter of Architects.
The song pairs Carter’s trademark screams with frontman Rob Damiani’s shifting vocal range, moving from restrained to full‑throttle intensity.
Lyrically, the track tackles the rise of far‑right nationalism and the spread of political misinformation, themes the band say have become impossible to ignore.
Speaking about Nightmare Tripping, Rob said the song was first written during the 2024 Southport Riots, a time when the contrast between national celebration and rising extremism felt especially stark.
He added that Carter was the first person he wanted on the track, praising his long‑standing commitment to speaking out on social issues.
Damiani said: “We started writing this song back in 2024 during the Southport Riots. At the same time the Olympics were on, and flicking between them and the news was an alarming contrast between celebratory British patriotism and violent English nationalism. Over the last few years it’s been impossible to avoid the rise of the far-right across Europe and the United States, seeing politicians and people on the streets alike using the Nazi salute freely without consequence, and genocide apologist’s ideas embraced in the mainstream media. This song is about the brainwashing that’s led to this, to question what we’ve been brought up believing and the narratives that have been reinforced for generations.
"As soon as the initial ideas were fleshed out I wanted Sam on this track. We’ve been fans of Architects for a long time and the energy and aggression he brings to his vocals are unmatched. As a human being of planet earth he’s used his talents again and again to stand up for what’s right so to collaborate on this song with him was very special.”
The album rollout has included a series of singles that previewed the band’s latest direction. Cellophane delivered a sharp nu‑metal edge, Disappear leaned into emotional intensity, and Euphoria showcased electronic influences and a massive chorus. Together, they set the tone for a record built on reinvention and scale.
Discussing the album as a whole, Don Broco said Nightmare Tripping reflects a new understanding of how to navigate the world, describing it as the feeling of waking from one unsettling moment straight into another and learning how to adapt.
Fresh off the second leg of their US tour, the band are now preparing for a run of sold‑out UK album‑release shows. They have also announced a 2026 UK and European tour, with dates in Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Newcastle and more. Tickets are on sale here.
This summer, Don Broco will join Biffy Clyro at London’s Finsbury Park and appear at major festivals including Rock Im Ring and Rock For People, giving fans the chance to experience Nightmare Tripping live.
