Liam Gallagher is "up for" making another album with John Squire.
The Wonderwall hitmaker was kept busy with the Oasis reunion last year and though they are tipped to be touring again in 2026, the 53-year-old singer is also hoping to team up with the Stone Roses guitarist again following the success of their 2024 self-titled LP.
A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: “Liam and John are close friends and speak regularly.
“John has told Liam that he has a batch of songs ready to record and that he’d love to have him on board.
“Although Oasis is Liam’s priority, he doesn’t want to take a year off making music.
“Since he went solo in 2017, he has released music almost every year. Liam was proud of what he and John created in the studio and is up for a second record if he can find the time to make it work.”
On New Year's Eve last Wednesday (31.012.25), Liam hinted at more Oasis live shows in the near future.
After a fan joked that "Oasis 2025 will officially be over in a day", Liam replied on X: "Bring on 2027 I mean 2026 I mean happy easter (sic)"
And when another fan asked about the possibility of a European tour, and the Britpop legend teased: "All in good time Rkid."
He also added: "If we tour again there will be changes to the set list thems the rules (sic)"
Liam - who has ruled old the prospect of new music from the band - recently hinted that Oasis could hit the road again for a European tour.
When asked "what he wanted for Christmas" by a follower on X, he responded: "A European tour."
In a separate post, the Supersonic artist quipped when a fan asked if he'd get in trouble for commenting about a European tour: "I'm allowed to dream just like you I'm mad for OASIS touring Europe it'll be BIBLICAL I love Europe it's my favourite country."
The Oasis Live '25 Tour marked the first time that Liam and Noel Gallagher had performed on stage together after 16 years of feuding and the Don't Look Back in Anger artists are to embark on a "period of reflection" following the end of their 41-date tour.
Oasis wrote on Instagram: "And so it came to pass.
"The most damaging pop cultural force in recent British history’ found its way into the hearts and minds of a new generation. From Gallagher Hill to the River Plate, from Croke Park on the banks of the Royal Canal to the City Of Angels, the love, joy, tears and euphoria will never be forgotten.
"There will now be a pause for a period of reflection."
