Kim Petras filmed Freak It music video during Paris night out
Kim Petras shot the music video for her recent single Freak It during a night out as she attended Paris Fashion Week recently.
Kim Petras filmed the music video for her new song Freak It during a night out in Paris.
The 33-year-old pop singer released the track back in July but only dropped the music video on Tuesday (11.11.25) after her friend Loftjet convinced her to shoot a self-funded video at the recent Paris Fashion Week.
Kim told People: "It came together really last minute. My friends that I've met at parties and artists that I've met were like, 'We're going to f****** do it, and we have no budget, and we don't care.'
"They let us film there, and we just had an insane night. It was a truly freaky night. We really partied and filmed it all, and it feels real and raw and crazy."
Petras – who topped charts around the world with her 2022 collaboration Unholy with Sam Smith – and her team partied until 6am, which left her feeling worse-for-wear when she attended a fashion show later that day.
She said: "I had another fashion show to go to, so it was just pulling through. But I feel like I'm pretty good at being hungover and still doing my job and posing.
"It doesn't prohibit me from doing stuff, so I've learned how to be hungover."
Freak It is one of the tracks that Kim has released to tease her forthcoming album, which she is yet to announce details of.
The German artist has also dropped the songs Polo and I Like Ur Look but insists that the tracks released so far don't offer fans a complete picture of the record.
She said: "I feel like the songs that are out right now really were designed to throw everyone off, especially Polo. A lot of people are just like, 'Oh, it's such a stupid song about a shirt.'
"And it's really about the Beverly Hills Polo Lounge where deals in the music industry are being made. I'm pretty revealing on that one. So yeah, all the songs are a little, I think, deeper than they're being given credit for, but that's fine."
The next album will be the follow-up to her major label debut Feed the Beast and Kim is refusing to relinquish her pop star persona.
The Coconuts singer said: "I'm a pop bitch, and that's fine. It's like this struggle sometimes because I've always wanted to be like Mariah Carey a little bit, where it's like I write all the songs, I'm super in every detail, I co-produce all the songs... but then I want to be on stage and be a hot dumb bimbo and be like, 'Eh, I don't do s***.' But I do do everything myself; I just like to portray myself that way."
