WATCH: Cody Frost drops new single SOMETIMESICAN’TFEELATHING
Cody Frost's powerful new single SOMETIMESICAN’TFEELATHING confronts themes of depression, emotional numbness, and self-medication.

Burnley-born musician and tattoo artist Cody Frost has released their latest single SOMETIMESICAN’TFEELATHING.
The new track builds on the punk-hyperpop foundation of their previous release, NATURAL SELECTION, while focusing on the emotional impact of depression, self-medication, and numbness.
It presents a raw narrative around mental health, reflecting personal struggles with emotional regulation and resilience.
Frost said: “This song is about self-medication, being medicated for depression and my hopes for the future.
"Sometimes I can’t cry when I know I should, other times I cry when I shouldn’t. Most of the statements in the song are more like wishes or manifestations than actual truths.
"It’s me trying to speak control, peace and resilience into existence - trying to override the numbness and chaos of something that feels like power, even if I’m not fully there yet.”
Since their 2021 debut EP IT’S NOT REAL, Frost has accumulated over three million streams. Their career includes collaborations with Enter Shikari, Debbie Gough, You Me At Six, and Bury Tomorrow.
They have received support and airplay from BBC Radio 1, Kerrang!, and Billboard.
Outside of music, Frost is also an illustrator and tattooist, working as part of a non-binary creative collective. Their multidisciplinary work contributes to a growing profile in the UK’s alternative arts scene.
With SOMETIMESICAN’TFEELATHING, Frost reinforces their status as one of the most distinct and emotionally direct voices in modern alt music.
