The Struts join forces with Queen legend Brian May on new version of debut hit Could Have Been Me
The Struts have recorded a new version of Could Have Been Me featuring idol Sir Brian May.

The Struts have reimagined their breakout hit Could Have Been Me with the help of rock royalty, Sir Brian May.
First released a decade ago, the platinum-selling anthem gave The Struts their first taste of success in the US. Now, with the Queen legend's unmistakable guitar powering through from the very first note, the track has been turbo-charged into a blistering new recording.
Frontman Luke Spiller leads the charge with explosive vocals, making this reworking a celebration of the band’s past and a bold look ahead to the next chapter of their career.
Brian May said: “Working with Luke and the Struts has been a joyous journey for me. I became obsessed with this great song ever since I was inspired by the original version and felt an uncontrollable urge to mess with it! It carries a great positive message for rebellious kids of all ages. And, together, WE ROCK!!”
Spiller added: “I’m absolutely ecstatic to announce that we are set to release a reimagined version of Could Have Been Me, featuring my hero the legendary Brian May! This song is all about seizing your dreams and living life to the fullest, no matter the obstacles. It’s a powerful anthem that reminds us to chase what sets our souls on fire. Collaborating with Brian on this track is a dream realized, and I can’t wait for you all to feel the energy and inspiration behind it. Every day is a gift. Let’s celebrate them together.”
The Struts are no strangers to collaborations, having released songs with Robbie Williams, Ke$ha, Tom Morello, Def Leppard and more.
The collaboration is set to arrive on September 3, alongside a performance video showcasing Brian May on stage with The Struts. Check out the trailer below:
