Natasha Hamilton suffered from "really bad anxiety" when breastfeeding.

The 41-year-old pop star - who has Josh, 21, with ex-boyfriend Fran Cosgrave, Harry, 18, with Gavin Hatcher, Alfie, 13, with Riad Erraji, Ella Rose, seven, with Five singer Ritchie Neville, and two-month-old Kitty with husband Charles Gay - admitted thinks there is a "pressure" for women to breastfeed as she shared her own struggles.

She told new!: "I think there's a lot of pressure to breastfeed. Of course, it's great but it doesn't always go to plan.

"I tried to breastfeed two of my boys, one was having none of it, the other got reflux and that turned into a nightmare. I breastfed Ella, that went well for two months but every time I fed I got this really bad anxiety in my tummy, it was really bizarre. The moment she latched on, I got a churning in my tummy that something bad was going to happen.

"So I couldn't wait to get her off the boob. It took about four weeks for her to get on the bottle because every time she had one, she projectile vomited.

However, the Atomic Kitten singer went on to add that with her youngest, she has in fact managed to breastfeed successfully so far and revealed things are "going great" because the little one can also feed from the bottle.

She said: "At the moment with Kitty, I am breastfeeding. But Charlie will do one night feed around 3am, which to be fair I'm made up about. It's that feed that sends me loopy and I'm falling asleep when she's feeding. We've managed to get Kitty on the bottle already, she will take both which is great."
