Amber Heard may be dating one of Hollywood's most sought-after hunks; Johnny Depp, but in spite of this the actress has revealed that she is in no way ready to settle down with her Rum Diaries co-star, as it might interfere with her own desires and preferences. Speaking to ELLE Magazine for their September issue, the blonde bombshell admitted that she feels uncomfortable "fitting in" with any kind of stability in her life, as well as opening up about her bisexuality and discussing her thought-process behind choosing film roles.

"I don't imagine myself, my work, or my life fitting into any kind of standardized path," the star of the upcoming film Paranoia told ELLE, adding, "In fact, the idea of there even being a standard freaks me out a lot."

The actress also went into detail about her sexuality, having come out as bisexual when she dated photographer Tasya van Ree back in 2010. Heard and van Ree dated for three years and at no point did Amber feel embarassed by her life choices and sexual preferences. She told ELLE, "I didn't want to look like I was hiding anything," adding, "I'm not, and wasn't ever, ashamed."

The actress also discussed her method for choosing roles, revealing why she has become something of a mainstay in action films rather than appearing as the romantic lead in a film. The actress admitted that she much prefers playing "empowered" and "strong" female characters, rather than committing to anything too soppy. She said, "People want to put me in a wedding dress and make me the object of affection, but I'd much rather shoot the gun and save the world."

Her full interview will be available in the September issue of ELLE, whilst her upcoming film, Paranoia, will be released across the US on 16 August.
