Aaron and Jim are two filmmakers out to find a new subject for their latest documentary project. They are immediately inspired by a hysterical conspiracy theorist who regularly takes to the streets to shout about his inside information to the public. It's not long, though, before the whistleblower known as Terrence mysteriously disappears without a trace, leaving behind an intriguing collection of newspaper clippings and notes detailing possible links between the CIA and various disasters such as World War I and 9/11. As Aaron and Jim absorb themselves into what exactly was going on Terrence's mind, they start to uncover some unsettling facts, discovering that behind all the major historical and political events is a dangerous secret society known as The Tarsus Club, which is hell-bent on developing a New World Order.
'The Conspiracy' is a deeply unnerving mockumentary thriller directed and written by Christopher MacBride in his feature film debut. Inspired by such underground secret societies as The Illuminati which was founded in 1776, it explores the mentality behind conspiracy theories and the type of the things that lead people to believe in them. 'The Conspiracy' is set to be released in the UK this Autumn on October 11th 2013.
