KPop Demon Hunters stars behind HUNTR/X to make first UK live appearance at 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards
HUNTR/X are headed to the BAFTAs for the first performance of smash hit Golden outside of the US.
The vocal trio behind Netflix’s record‑breaking hit KPop Demon Hunters are set to take the stage at next month’s EE BAFTA Film Awards, marking their first live performance together outside the United States.
EJAE, AUDREY NUNA and REI AMI — the voices of HUNTR/X in the animated phenomenon — will perform the global smash Golden, the chart‑topping anthem that has become one of the most-streamed songs in the world.
The singers said the invitation to perform at the ceremony felt surreal, sharing: “Performing at the EE BAFTA Film Awards is a golden moment that our younger selves could never have imagined. We’re so proud to represent Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters and spread the film’s positive message to fans around the globe.”
Emma Baehr, BAFTA’s Executive Director of Awards and Content, said the organisation was thrilled to welcome the trio to the Royal Festival Hall.
She said: “KPop Demon Hunters has had a phenomenal impact on audiences of all ages since its release last summer, and we’re delighted the singers behind HUNTR/X will bring their K‑Pop energy to the EE BAFTA Film Awards. Alongside celebrating exceptional filmmaking, we want to deliver an unmissable night of entertainment — and this performance will be a standout moment.”
Released in June 2025, KPop Demon Hunters has become Netflix’s most‑watched film of all time, amassing more than 500 million streams and earning widespread critical acclaim.
Its soundtrack has been equally dominant, with Golden topping global streaming charts throughout 2025 and continuing its momentum into 2026. The track also made history as the first female K‑Pop song to reach No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it held the top spot for eight consecutive weeks.
The soundtrack went on to earn five Grammy nominations, with Golden winning Best Song Written for Visual Media — the first K‑Pop track ever to claim a Grammy Award.
The 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards will air as‑live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Sunday, February 22, with US viewers able to watch on E!. The ceremony, hosted by Alan Cumming, will take place at London’s Royal Festival Hall, with full coverage across BAFTA and BBC social channels.
