BTS announce long-awaited comeback with new album and global tour
BTS will release their fifth full-length studio album on March 20.
BTS have confirmed they will release their fifth full-length studio album on March 20.
The record will be accompanied by a major world tour, marking the group’s first large‑scale run in four years.
The new album represents a pivotal moment for the global superstars, who spent the second half of 2025 immersed in its creation. Featuring 14 tracks, the project is described as a deeply introspective body of work shaped by each member’s personal reflections.
Alongside the album announcement, the band confirmed plans for a world tour in support of the release. Full details — including dates and venues — will be revealed on January 14 at midnight KST. The tour will be their first since BTS Permission To Dance On Stage, which wrapped in Las Vegas in April 2022.
In the lead‑up to the announcement, BTS surprised their loyal legions of fans - nicknamed the ARMY- with handwritten letters. Each member penned a personal message expressing gratitude for the unwavering support they’ve received throughout their career. The letters were sent to fans with active memberships on the Weverse superfan platform, with digital versions to be released at the end of January for those who did not receive a physical copy.
Adding to the excitement, BTS wiped their official Instagram account at midnight on January 1, sparking immediate speculation online. Within hours, social media was flooded with theories, reactions, and trending hashtags as fans and media attempted to decode the group’s next move.
As part of their rollout, BTS have also launched a new official website, 2026bts.com, where further updates on the album and world tour will be released in the coming weeks.
