Rapper Fetty Wap Has Broken His Silence Over Reports Linking Him To A Recent Fight At A New Jersey Supermarket, Insisting He Was Present For The Incident But "Didn't Start" The Altercation.
A male cashier at a Shop Rite store in Paramus told police he was slapped by a female customer on 10 July (15), and then beaten up by a group of her male friends, one of whom bore a resemblance to the Trap Queen hitmaker, a native of nearby Paterson, New Jersey.
The employee admitted he couldn't be certain it really was the rapper, and declined to press charges.
Fetty Wap, real name Willie Maxwell, has since addressed the rumours via Twitter.com and played down the incident.
He simply wrote, "Yes I was at Shop Rite... I didn't start a fight, no one has pressed charges. Fights happen every day in Jersey, nothing new".
Police have yet to determine if the star played a role in the alleged assault.
