FBC & Reindeer
It’s not who you know, it’s whom you know.

With the limited edition fabric sleeve for an album cover which is only available on request at record stores; this is not one to be missed.

I can’t describe the genre, it’s mainly musical with very little vocal. Released on 20 th June, from the mega-talented duo from South-London, the album is full of spirit and different to most others out there.

I would say that it’s a little like rap with hard hitting lyrics mixed with hip hop style beats and dance. My favourite track is “Passenger” – it has a great drum beat and guitar strings that just blow your mind away! In a way it’s similar to Massive Attack but more realistic!

Most of the album takes a look at the society and the area where they live. “Rub the calm one” is a really good song from the Cockneys with its chilled out tunes and the soft drum beats. This song is quite alternative; however most of the songs are dream like.

The lyrics of the songs tend to be sad, if you listen carefully, they’re about the lives of FBC, growing up and listening to songs they love and hate, wishing they could change the way people listen and think about music. And they certainly have – this is a stand up and speak album.

The songs are mainly instrumental and hard hitting, almost a UK Eminem but without the swearing! The guitar plays an important part in this album, stressing the inequality of each song and the tenseness.

Listen to the 10 minute track “the only dance I can do”. This is a realisation song – it’s on the same wavelength as the Orb or The Egg! The instrumental makes you think about things going on for example morals, ethics and more importantly their music!!!
