Rockers KILLING FOR COMPANY have paid tribute to their bandmate STUART CABLE, who was found dead on Monday (07Jun10).
The 30 year old passed away at his home in Wales but his cause of death is not yet known.
The drummer shot to fame as part of the Stereophonics but had most recently been playing with Killing For Company.
And the group has paid a sombre tribute to Cable, changing their official website homepage to a simple picture of the musician, accompanied by the text, 'Rest Peacefully Stuart Cable. 19 May 1970 - 7 June 2010. You will be missed'.
The band is due to perform at Britain's Download festival next weekend (12-13Jun10), but the tragedy has thrown the appearance into doubt.
Fellow Welsh rockers Manic Street Preachers have also paid tribute to their late friend, offering their condolences to the star's grieving loved ones.
A statement from the band reads, "Whenever you met Stuart, you always walked away with a massive smile on your face. Such a gigantic personality which was reflected in his drumming. He really will be missed. Our sincere condolences to his family and friends."
It comes as BBC bosses in Wales cancelled a special Tom Jones radio broadcast, to honour his 70th birthday, as a mark of respect for Cable.
The musician-turned-media personality hosted his rock show on BBC Radio Wales as usual on Saturday (05Jun10) and chiefs at the station have decided to pull a special day of tributes for Jones, to mark his milestone birthday on Monday, out of respect for Cable.
A spokesperson for the BBC says, "Sadly BBC Radio Wales presenter and former Stereophonics drummer, Stuart Cable, was found dead this morning. The BBC has decided to pull the Tom Jones birthday party as a sign of respect. Our thoughts go out to all at BBC Wales."
South Wales Police have since confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the tragedy, but the cause of death has not yet been released.
