Jackson To Play King On Broadway?
SAMUEL L. JACKSON is in talks to hit Broadway as assassinated civil rights icon MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
The Pulp Fiction star is reportedly in New York reading for the play The Mountaintop, which chronicles the imagined events of the night before King was shot dead in Memphis, Tennessee in 1968.
The Mountaintop was named Best Play at the 2010 Olivier Awards in London, and the production is set to hit Broadway in the autumn (10).
David Harewood played King on the London stage and won an Evening Standard Award Best Actor nomination for the part.
