Popular high school chicks Wren and April can't believe their luck when they are invited to long-haired heartthrob Aaron Riley's much anticipated Halloween party. It appears Wren's only problem is to work out what her costume's going to be; that is until she's about to leave the house and her mother drops the bombshell that she's to babysit for her eccentric younger brother Albert while he goes Trick-or-Treating dressed as Spider Man. As if things weren't bad enough, while Wren and April are moping about missing the party, Albert disappears on his own. Anxious that her mother will find out she's been neglecting her responsibilities, Wren and April set out on a frantic search for Albert; who is being used an accessory by a man who has set out to avenge a broken heart; whilst swindling 'nerds' and suffering public humiliation along the way.

Wanderlust Trailer

George and Linda are the ultimate urban couple. Living in New York, they both lead hectic lifestyles and are used to running into the bonnet of a taxi on a regular basis (don't worry, they always walk away unscathed). One disadvantage of their fast paced jobs is their tiredness in the evenings. Whenever George and Linda plan on having sex, they find themselves falling asleep on each other.

The Ten Review

Good
In a sane, level-headed and clear-eyed world, early '90s sketch group The State (also a TV show) would still be practicing their ambitious and absurd brand of screwball comedy. Sadly, Scooter Libby gets fresh air and sunshine while the boys and girls of The State have been relegated to obscurity, scattering like cockroaches in a well-lit kitchen to different comedic prospects. Most of the members found their way to Comedy Central's cannily-hilarious Reno 911! where State leads Thomas Lennon, Ben Garant, and Kerri Kenney are series cornerstones. Almost every other member of the troupe has made a recurring or cameo spot on the program but the effect has never been as lively or precarious as the best moments of The State.

With a few celebrities on board, the group assembles (with a few exceptions) for key member David Wain's The Ten, a foul-mouthed, dirty-as-diapers, Republican-baiting retelling of the Ten Commandments. The stories are stitched together by a loose narrative thread involving a man (Paul Rudd) serving as narrator who is leaving his wife (Famke Janssen) for a younger ditz (Jessica Alba).

Pledge This! Review

Unbearable
Rarely have I truly said "I wish I had my 90 minutes back" and meant it sincerely. But Pledge This! is a film with absolutely no saving graces, nothing worth redeeming it. It's a waste of time in every way, but I guess I should have known: This is, after all, a movie that doesn't just feature Paris Hilton; she's the headliner. The film is yet another Revenge of the Nerds ripoff, only with gawky sorority girls battling it out with Hilton, who rules over her own sorority and "admits" the awkward gals just to humiliate them later. The film borrows liberally from Strangers with Candy, too, featuring an older co-ed with a penchant for drugs and swarthy talk. There's plenty of gratuitous nudity, of course, and that's the film at its most intelligent. Ultimately, the film hits rock bottom when it turns into a promo piece for FHM magazine, which plans to feature Hilton and her sorority on its cover. Justice was done soon after Pledge This! was dumped on the market, however: FHM promptly went out of business.

Reno 911!: Miami Review

Unbearable
It's never a good sign when a film's press screening occurs the night before it opens. The film is instantly labeled a loser long before the opening credits even roll. So if Reno 911!: Miami was to be anything like its Comedy Central inspiration, then its 11th hour screening should come as a surprise. Unfortunately, for the most part, Miami is exactly what everyone expected it to be: raunchy and brainless. Yet, what I didn't expect was for Miami to be so bawdy, so unfunny, and so unlike its small screen roots that after the first 30 minutes I was so desperate to change the channel.

In Miami, all of the familiar bungling deputies from the TV show are part of the action, along with their hang-ups. Led by the short-shorts wearing Lieutenant Jim Dangle (Thomas Lennon), the inept Washoe County Sheriff's Department is "invited" to attend a national law enforcement convention in South Florida. But when the gang arrives, they quickly find themselves outclassed and left out of the convention's festivities. When a biohazard chemical is released at the convention, quarantining the nation's police force, Dangle and Company are the only uncontaminated law enforcement officers available to keep the streets of Miami safe.
