Fat Northerner

Fat Northerner Records was birthed by a collective of musicians in a music shop in Salford during 2003 when the world seemed to be experiencing a drought in new music, the live music scene was desolate and the Internet had thrown the music industry into a state of chaos. The ethos of the label was for the bands, artists and DJs to work together, a kind of safety-in-numbers strategy. It was an idealistic plan and after the initial spell of hard work, everyone left.
