The Wolf Of Wall Street - Clips

It's a wild ride of drinking, drugs, debauchery and deception when the ambitious Jordan Belfort decides that he wants to be one of the rich kids. Starting out his stockbroker business in a small office with a handful of employees, his aims are simple; target only the richest people in the country. It isn't long before Belfort and his team find themselves with more money than they know what to do with and begin to live their lives manically high off the success. However, Belfort hasn't exactly been making what you'd call an honest living and pretty soon the secrets of his fraudulent profits and money laundering draws attention from the authorities. And not only that, his disregard for others' sufferings means he's got a lot more to lose than his beloved business.

'The Wolf of Wall Street' is a gritty white-collar crime drama based on the true story of Jordan Belfort, a former stockbroker who served 22 months in prison for his fraudulent activity in 1998 and subsequently wrote two memoirs entitled 'The Wolf of Wall Street' and 'Catching the Wolf of Wall Street'. The new movie has been directed by the Oscar winning Martin Scorsese ('Shutter Island', 'Goodfellas', 'The Departed') and written by multi-Primetime Emmy winning writer Terence Winter ('The Sopranos', 'Boardwalk Empire', 'Brooklyn Rules').

Wolf Of Wall Street Trailer

Jordan Belfort started out his stockbroker business in a tiny office with a small group of people and had the intention of targeting only the richest people in America as their clientele. With such a small percentage of individuals lined up as hopeful patrons, their dreams of immense fortune and a life of luxury seemed embarrassingly unlikely. However, pretty soon the company starts to ooze more money than they can handle and it's parties, alcohol and women all round. Unfortunately, it soon becomes clear to everyone that what Belfort was doing to earn his fortune is not entirely legal and he risks his freedom and his wealthy lifestyle when the FBI get involved.

'The Wolf of Wall Street' is a white-collar crime drama based on the two memoirs by the real Belfort, who was jailed in 1998 for a string of fraudulent offences including money laundering. The autobiographies have since been translated into 18 different languages and now the Oscar winning Martin Scorsese ('Shutter Island', 'Goodfellas', 'The Departed') directs the screen adaptation which has been written by multi-Primetime Emmy winning writer Terence Winter ('The Sopranos', 'Boardwalk Empire', 'Brooklyn Rules'). The movie is set to be release on January 17th 2014.

The Wolf Of Wall Street - Teaser Trailer

Jordan Belfort is a successful stockbroker, multi-millionaire and motivational speaker from New York who had enough money to throw anywhere he wanted. He was arrested and jailed in 1998 for a string of fraudulent activities surrounding stock market manipulation including money laundering and mob infiltration. He served 22 months in prison after being given a sentence of 4 years, famously refusing to cooperate during the case which exposed massive corruption on Wall Street. His crime was fuelled by his loved of alcohol, parties, women and, generally, the finer things in life including his luxury yacht which was originally built for Coco Chanel. He wrote two memoirs which were published in around 40 countries and have since been translated into 18 different languages.

The Big Wedding Trailer

Don and Ellie have been divorced for a long time but when their adopted son Alejandro and his fiancé Missy decide to get married, it looks to be time for a family reunion. If things weren't awkward enough with Ellie seeing that her best friend Bebe from years ago is now married to her ex-husband, Alejandro's biological mother has also decided to fly over from Columbia for the occasion. However, she happens to be an extremely devout catholic with the belief that divorce is a sin so the family's only resolution to appease her and make her feel that giving away her son was the right decision is for Don and Ellie to pretend that they are still married on the big day, to Bebe's resentment. As expected, things are not as straight forward as they planned and the days leading up to the nuptials couldn't possibly be more tense and disastrous for this unusual family.

This ridiculous though rather touching comedy has been based on the French movie 'Mon Frère Se Marie' written by Jean-Stéphane Bron and Karine Sudan and is the wonderful story of how broken families can mend or, at least, unite for their mutual relatives when it is a matter of importance. It has been directed and written by Justin Zackham ('Going Greek', 'The Bucket List') and is set to be released on May 31st 2013 in the UK.

Starring: Robert De Niro, Susan Sarandon, Diane Keaton, Katherine Heigl, Amanda Seyfried, Topher Grace, Robin Williams, Ben Barnes, Megan Ketch, Greg Paul, Christa Campbell, David Rasche, Christine Ebersole, Kyle Bornheimer,

Black Sheep (1996) Review

Unbearable
Chris Farley's tragic, untimely death at age 33 sparked a newfound admiration of his talents, but loving eyes can't appreciate (or overlook) something as painfully unfunny as Black Sheep, the second and final pairing of Farley and David Spade.

The movie is a lazier, stupider version of Tommy Boy. Al Donnelly (Tim Matheson) is running for governor in Washington state, but his chances are hurt by his well-intentioned but reckless younger brother Mike (Farley), who is a newspaper editor's wet dream. Enter Steve Dodds (Spade), an eager Donnelly volunteer who offers to supervise Mike until the election ends. The pairing is disastrous from the start, and things really get out of hand when Mike gets framed for arson. The two escape to a remote cabin, where they encounter redneck kids, a runaway boulder, and Gary Busey, before uncovering an election scandal.

Pros and Cons Review

Unbearable
Rarely do you see a movie that is as equally unfunny as it is sheerly improbable. While the thought of funny man Larry Miller locked away in a hard-time prison holds the promise of sheer farce value, there is literally no payoff at all to be found in this dog. Cameos by Jerry Seinfeld and Paul Reiser are the lone bright spots here, but even they aren't enough to drag Pros and Cons out of one-starsville. Simply hideous.

My Favorite Martian Review

Terrible
Nothing like a 1960s sitcom remake to brighten up your day, right? Even a cameo by dearly departed Ray Walston can't save this piece of junk, which is unfortunate, because Christopher Lloyd, Jeff Daniels, Elizabeth Hurley, and Wallace Shawn can all be fun to watch on film. Of course, any movie that has a guy passing up Hurley for Daryl Hannah has to make you suspect anyway, right? Wayne Knight's voiced-over talking suit is the only (relative) highlight. Feel free to pass on this one.

My Favorite Martian Review

Weak

Disney's "My Favorite Martian" is bookended by the only two laughsin the whole movie. The opening scene cleverly takes a swipe at NASA'sMars Rover mission as a springboard into the story about a visitor fromthe red planet marooned in Los Angeles by a broken down spaceship.

One of the last scenes pays homage to the 1960s TV showthat inspired this film in a way that makes the insufferable comic vacuumthat precedes it almost forgivable -- but only if you're old enough toremember Ray Walston as the original Martian.
