Neil Patrick Harris, the recently announced host for the Academy Awards 2015, has revealed his dream musical guests for the ceremony. The star of 'How I Met Your Mother' sat down with Entertainment Weekly's Matt Bean for a Sirius XM interview and had plenty of ideas for his first Oscars show.

When asked who he would want as a dream duet partner for the sow, Harris brainstormed out loud, "Gaga?" he asked, "Adele. That would be cool", he added. "Pink? We could do circus things."

Harris has hosted the Emmy Awards twice and the Tony Awards four times, though says he wants to do something different for the Academy Awards and doesn't want to be "super derivative of other shows." He also spoke of his desire to honor the gravity of the Oscars "without getting heavy and boring."

As for his opening monologue, Harris said he liked Seth Meyers at the Emmys, ("It had teeth; it was relevant; it was funny") and found that Ellen DeGeneres found a way of making the audience "super comfortable and relaxed"

I hope that I can keep it smart," said Harris. "I've always loved the Oscars and have great respect for its history and the gowns and the classiness of it."

Next years' Oscars are likely to be contested by Richard Linklater's Boyhood, Bennett Miller's Foxcatcher, Christopher Nolan's Interstellar, Alejandro González Iñárritu's Birdman and Paul Thomas Anderson's Inherent Vice. Michael Keaton is the current favourite to win Best Actor while Julianne Moore is the heavy frontrunner to win Best Actress for Still, Alice.
