Reneé Rapp brings powerful show to London and reveals she ‘loves’ playing in the city
The performance marked her second night in London during the European leg of the BITE ME tour.
Reneé Rapp took to the stage at London's OVO Arena Wembley on Friday (20.03.2025) standing on the top of a star-shaped mini stage, surrounded by red lights, oozing confidence and charisma.
With her powerful vocals, she chose to kick off the show with Leave Me Alone, currently her main hit, a surprising choice you'd expect to come later in the night, as is usual with trending hits in pop shows. But this is Reneé Rapp: unconventional and entirely in control of the set, setting the tone on her own terms.
The performance marked her second night in London as part of the European leg of the BITE ME tour, supporting her new album with the same name.
The record, which follows her 2022 EP Everything to Everyone and her debut album Snow Angel (2023), debuted at No. 1 on the UK Official Albums Chart and reached an impressive 22 million on-demand streams in its first week of release in August 2025.
Reneé told the crowd: “It’s so nice to be back… I said this last night, I love playing in the UK, I love playing in London."
She added: “You guys are such fantastic fans of music. Thank you so much for making the time to be here. It really means the world.”
The set continued with her incredible band playing fan favourites Mad and Why Is She Still Here?, both from the new album - and the energy in the room was palpable.
With BITE ME, Reneé steps into a new phase of her career, fully embracing her self-confidence without losing her signature vulnerability present in her previous work.
One of the standout moments of the night came when the curtains closed and she went to the front of the stage to perform the melodic That’s So Funny and Sometimes, accompanied only by a piano. The songs highlighted her vocal strength and Renéé also shared she is “so proud” of the way they sound.
At 26, the American star is also an actress with a strong theatre background, performing on Broadway, which clearly shows in her impressive vocal performance.
Reneé starred in Mean Girls: The Musical, playing the iconic Regina George, and later on reprised the role for the movie adaption. She has also starred in the HBO comedy series The Sex Lives of College Girls and now is set to join the cast of the fifth season of Apple TV’s The Morning Show.
The dynamic and multifaceted artist's connection with her devoted fans is evident.
During Swim, from her debut album, she stepped off the stage with a camera to film and interact directly with them.
More highlight moments came with the long-awaited Tummy Hurts, as the crowd joined her in a powerful singalong, and during the emotional In The Kitchen, one of her earliest hits, with fans lighting up the arena with their phones, creating a very special atmosphere.
She then decided to close the show with Not My Fault and At Least I’m Hot, bringing the same energy and magnetism from the opening, also showing the amazing control she has over her vocals during the entire show.
