LATEST: Mary J Blige is still raging about her recent VIBE magazine cover shoot, demanding the publication's bosses release an apology for making her look depressed and troubled.
The R+B star insists she wanted to create "a certain look" for the cover which would show fans her difficulties were behind her and she was entering a happier, more peaceful time of life.
Instead, she claims Vibe editors doctored the picture that appeared on the front cover and made her look like the person she was a decade ago.
Blige publicly admonished the magazine at their annual awards last month (NOV05) when she was presented with the V Legend honour, stating, "I really hated the way you guys shaved off my head, pushed my forehead way back behind my ears. I'm just insulted."
And now she's fuming because the magazine's editors have since blamed the controversial cover on the star's stylist, insisting they never altered the image.
The singer says, "I had to let them know that this is disrespectful that you would turn my make-up into mud, you would shave off the top of my head.
"I don't know what happened, I don't know if it was purposely done, but I know the magazine had to be approved in that building, so to let that leave the building is disrespectful.
"I'm working on something and I know people are like, 'Is this 1994 Mary or is this Mary now?'"
