The hitmaker's album 'X' has spent the longest time in the Top 10 than any other album by a British singer
Everyone loves Ed Sheeran and his popularity has been sealed even further by breaking the record for having an album by a British artist that has remained the longest in the album chart Top 10. Ed’s second album, X, which is read as multiply, has been in the Top 10 for a phenomenal 73 weeks after entering the chart at number one on June, 29 2014.

This is the second record for the hitmaker who holds the accolade for the longest consecutive run in the UK Top 40 for his single Thinking Out Loud.
Sheeran’s first album +, which is read as plus, is the sixth best-selling album of the decade in the UK and had been in the Top 100 for an outstanding 208 weeks.

As 24-year-old Sheeran continues to ride high in the charts, he has also picked up a legion of super celebrity friends including Courteney Cox – who he introduced to her now fiancé, Snow Patrol singer Johnny McDaid – Taylor Swift and even Sir Elton John.
