Last night, Tom Did It brought the energy, the wings, and the vibes to Arch 19, South London, for the official launch of his debut mixtape Did It - and if the name didn’t already say it loud enough, the night confirmed it: yes, he did.

The rising Hertfordshire-born artist, producer, and engineer hosted friends, fans, tastemakers, and collaborators at the packed-out launch, serving up an electrifying taste of the 11-track project he built from scratch. Wingstop came through clutch with trays of hot wings, and Coracho Tequila drinks flowed as guests moved through the space, catching up and soaking in the sound.

But the real heat came when Tom previewed tracks like Snow White (feat. 424KP), Madison Beer (feat. Chip), and Burning Bridges (with Nafe Smallz) — blending UK rap grit, indie pop vulnerability, and late-night club energy. And when the bass hit the walls of the converted railway arch, one thing was certain: Tom Did It and he’s here to stay.

In an exclusive chat during the night, Tom opened up about the personal journey behind Did It, a title rooted in manifestation and self-belief.

He told me: “I’m not from London, I’m not from the city. I live just outside Luton in a rural area. We converted a barn into a studio, me and my dad. That’s been me for the last five years. Just me, myself, recording myself, getting people up there.”

Tom’s path is rare in today’s scene,  no handouts, no co-signs early on, just a relentless DIY ethic. He’s written over 500 songs, taught himself production, built a studio, and only recently stepped into the city to share his sound.

He added: “It’s called Did It as like a manifestation thing. I’m kind of spiritual, you’ve got to speak things into existence, that’s my form, I’ll just tell myself this is happening, there is no other option. I never give myself a Plan B.”

Having already worked with some of the UK’s best - including Chip, Devlin, Nafe Smallz, Sigala, and Loski - Tom’s now got his eyes on crossing the pond.

He said: “If I could collaborate with anyone it would be Post Malone and I'd love to do a tune with Dominic Fike.

"I’m pretty lucky, in the UK I’ve pretty much exhausted all the artists I’ve wanted to make a song with on this mix tape which is a blessing. So yeah I want to get over to the states."

When asked how he defines his sound, Tom kept it simple.

He added: "My music is quite universal. It’s not straight UK Rap. I sing with a bit of a twang. It’s a bit more commercial. It’s a bit poppy in some ways, so I feel like it would gravitate."

And though he’s known for hard-hitting production, he wants people to listen past the drop.

He said: "People judge rap heavily on the the instrumental because if it’s a hard hitting beat it’s a bit loud, you know what I mean, some people don’t get it.

"But I would advise them to listen to some words. Cus hip hop isn't about the beat, it's about the story, it's real life experiences. That’s the beauty of hip hop, not plastic stuff, it's all real."

With radio play from BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, and KISS, brand support from Lyle + Scott, and tastemaker praise from GRM Daily, Complex, and Mixtape Madness, Tom Did It’s momentum is undeniable.

From a barn in the countryside to a packed-out launch party in the capital, Tom Did It isn’t just a name, it’s a fact. His debut mixtape is a bold, genre-blending flex, but it’s the intention behind it all that truly lands: the belief, the work ethic, and the refusal to have a backup plan.
