Avex Music Group and S10 Entertainment Unveil Bicoastal Leadership Structure Under Brandon Silverstein

Brandon Silverstein has assembled a new executive team to drive expansion at Avex Music Group and S10 Entertainment, creating dedicated leadership on both U.S. coasts while adding industry veterans to key creative and operational roles.
The appointments come seven months after Silverstein became CEO of Avex Music Group, positioning both companies for accelerated growth in domestic and international markets.
The restructuring establishes Zeke Silvera as SVP and head of East Coast operations, directing artist development, studio management, and A&R initiatives from New York. On the West Coast, Spencer Leboff takes charge as SVP of operations, publishing, and acquisitions from the company's expanded West Hollywood headquarters, which now encompasses two recording facilities and dedicated spaces for creative teams.
"Our focus is international—building a world-class roster, expanding into key markets around the world and pursuing partnerships and acquisitions that will further strengthen our creative ecosystem," Silverstein stated while announcing the appointments.
Strategic Hires Strengthen Creative and Operational Capabilities
The leadership expansion brings notable industry figures into the Avex and S10 fold. Tay James, who has served as Justin Bieber's A&R executive since 2009, joins as senior A&R consultant alongside Miles Beard, previously head of A&R at Republic Records. Both will advise Avex Music Group's publishing division as it continues to build its songwriter and producer roster.
Megan Timko assumes responsibility for operations across both companies, managing infrastructure and execution as the organizations scale their international presence. Marketing leadership falls to Jessica Roxana and Claudia Schumann, who will coordinate brand strategy and campaigns across global markets. Rory Sever has earned promotion to chief of staff, rounding out the senior team.
These executives join existing leadership including Justin Hunter (vice president, corporate), Nevin Sanitsky (director, A&R, publishing), Ryan Kamada (chief financial officer), Brennen Bryant (senior director, A&R, publishing), and Hajime Hirada (senior manager, A&R international, publishing).
The appointments support physical expansion across both coasts. Avex recently launched dual studio complexes in West Hollywood and Los Angeles, complementing new offices in midtown Manhattan. The West Hollywood location serves as corporate headquarters, housing recording studios, creative offices, and S10's management operations.
Brandon Silverstein's Track Record Drives Continued Investment
The organizational growth follows a series of wins under Silverstein's leadership. Since March, when Japanese entertainment giant Avex Inc. acquired 100% of the S10 Music Publishing catalog and increased its stake in S10 Management, the companies have delivered multiple chart successes. Grant Boutin's songwriting and production on Tate McRae's latest album generated a Mediabase Top 40 No. 1 with "Sports Car," while "TIT FOR TAT" entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 3.
Recent signings have quickly proven their value. Producer Elkan, brought aboard earlier this year, crafted Drake's "Nokia" and contributed to both Travis Scott's JACKBOYS 2 album and Rihanna's "Friend of Mine." Elyas, another new addition, produced Drake's "What Did I Miss?," which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. October's signing of Kamal Wilson, co-writer of Kehlani's No. 1 rhythmic radio hit "Folded," continued the streak.
The management division has expanded its reach with artists including We The Band, Justin Bieber's longtime backing group. Member Harv, who signed with S10 Publishing in 2021, co-wrote and produced Bieber's "Swag," which debuted at No. 2 this summer. Japanese acts have also gained Western market traction, with J-pop boy band ONE OR EIGHT becoming the first Japanese boy group to crack the U.S. Mediabase Top 40 with "DSTM."
Looking back at 2024, S10 and Avex dominated year-end radio charts with three songs in Mediabase's Top 40 top 20. Jasper Harris's production on Tate McRae's "Greedy" claimed the No. 1 spot, while Doja Cat's "Agora Hills" and Tommy Richman's "Million Dollar Baby" secured No. 5 and No. 16 respectively. Each track also reached No. 1 on Spotify's Global Chart during its peak.
Silverstein founded S10 Entertainment in 2017 as an artist management firm before launching S10 Publishing as an Avex joint venture in 2020. His relationship with Avex began through introductions to then-Avex USA head Naoki Osada in 2019, leading to meetings with Avex founder Max Matsuura and Group CEO Katsumi Kuroiwa in Tokyo.
Parent company Avex Inc., established in 1988, operates across music, animation, live entertainment, and merchandise with more than 1,500 employees worldwide. The company generated approximately $1 billion in revenue in 2024 while managing over 500 artists and producing Asian tours for global stars including Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber. Through Avex Academy and Avex Youth Studios, the company auditions more than 10,000 aspiring artists annually.
