Miller Commends Prison Break Co-star For Taking Responsibility

PRISON BREAK actor Wentworth Miller has praised troubled former co-star LANE GARRISON for taking responsibility for his actions after driving drunk and killing a teenager.
Garrison is currently undergoing an enforced 90-day psychiatric evaluation behind bars at the California Institute for Men in Chino, California, while he awaits to hear if he'll serve more jail time after pleading guilty to vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence.
In December 2006, Vahagn Setian was a passenger in Garrison's Land Rover when the actor lost control of the vehicle and crashed after leaving a pre-Christmas party. The 17-year-old was later pronounced dead in hospital.
And though Miller doesn't condone his one-time co-star's actions, he does credit Garrison for accepting he was at fault and refusing to fight the charges against him.
Miller says, "I did get a chance to spend some time with Lane when he was working on the show... He is essentially a very sweet kid who made a horrific mistake.
"Obviously there are no excuses, nothing's gonna bring that boy back and he'll spend the rest of his life paying for it.
"I was really proud of him that he stepped forward and took full responsibility for his actions."
A hearing to decide if Garrison will be sentenced to serve more jail time will be held on 31 October (07).
