Courteney Cox Says Friends Reunion "Is Not Gonna Happen"
Cox can't get them together for a meal, let alone a reunion
The F.R.I.E.N.D.S gang getting back together has been mooted for a long time now; loads of other shows and bands for reunions, so why can’t one of the most successful sitcoms of all time get one too? Because it would be awful, that’s why. And Courtney Cox has dealt a hammer blow to those who disagree.

“It’s not gonna happen,” Cox told the soon to be retiring David Letterman on Late Show. "Only because once you say I like it, they contact every other cast member and say, 'Well Courteney's into it'. It's not going to happen."
She added: "Let me tell you something, there are six 'Friends' and I've been trying to put together a cast dinner for ten years. It doesn't happen. I can get the girls, maybe Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc cancelled last time right at the last minute, Schwimmer lives here. So it's never going to happen."
Of course, many will be disappointed with Cox’s statement. Over 10 seasons, Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler and Joey became household names, installing the same kind of fuzzy warmth into homes across America and internationally.
But any reunion, be it a one off TV special or movie would be bad. Think of the Sex in The City movies; they were really bad. Would we want Cox, Aniston, Kudrow, Bing, Schwimmer and Le Blanc – with a combined age of 281 – back for one last hurrah? Probably not. Let’s just watch reruns of them very much in their pomp.
What’s more, Marta Kauffman and David Crane – the show’s creators – have previously insisted that they have no plans to revisit the 90s sitcom. And that’s probably for the best.
