Fact: Past American Idol winner David Cook has recorded a cover of Simple Minds' Don't You (Forget About Me), which will be used as the TV talent contest's new exit song and played as contestants are voted off the show.

Fact: Beyonce and THE Black Eyed Peas will be headlining a concert in Singapore next month (Sept09) to coincide with the country's Formula 1 Grand Prix and the first F1 Rocks Event. N.E.R.D, ZZ Top and Simple Minds will also perform over the three-days from 24 September.

Fact: Britain's 2009 Isle of Wight festival is set to be a real blast from the past with former stadium rockers Simple Minds joining the reunited ULTRAVOX, Neil Young and folk star JUDY COLLINS on the bill. THE Prodigy and Basement Jaxx will headline the weekend music event in June (09).
