Our musical highlights from March include a "White Hot" album, a cinematic helping of Black Honey and a sixth number one album from Kings Of Leon.
We've only had three months of the year and yet it's already proving to be a creative period as musicians, singers, songwriters, performers and directors all seem to be flexing their artistic muscles. We've already had a record setting Grammy awards and are set to have an equally divergent and record setting BRIT awards. 2020 may have proved very difficult in terms of live performances but it has undoubtedly given rise to new ways of working and connecting, experimentation and exploration. Now more than ever it would appear, not only the pent up demand of the consumers, but also the pent up creations of the artists is being unleashed at an incredible rate. The first two months of the year have already seen major releases from Foo Fighters, The Pretty Reckless, Mogwai, Arlo Parks, Sleaford Mods and Nick Cave, to name but a few, and March has now added handsomely to that list with some great new releases. Here's our top five.

The month of March looks set to give up some great new music and a few surprises too.
As life gets one step closer to normality for those affected by the impact of the CoVID19 pandemic we take a look forward to what's fresh, new and exciting in the world of music. As schools get ready to receive students back into their actual, rather than virtual, classrooms, as the world gets ready to celebrate book day on 4th March, as F1 gets ready to race again, as the America's Cup begins, as the vaccination programme continues at pace, as the world starts to feel hope and optimism, let's take a look at what's to come. Kings Of Leon have a new album due out this month, as do The Horrors and Black Sabbath. Ringo Starr is releasing an EP, Sting is releasing a duets compilation and there are retrospectives due from Neil Young and Madness among others, however, as both Mother's Day and International Women's Day both fall within March we're going for an all female line-up.

January 2021 has certainly given us a lot to talk about as well as delivering up some great new music.
The first month of the year has already packed a punch both via the events that have taken place around the World and the music that has been released. We have a new President of the United States, the UK has finally left the EU after years of negotiations, vaccine roll-outs have begun across the globe and Donald Trump was (Better later than never) banned from Twitter. Glastonbury and Coachella have sadly had to cancel their huge events due to the ongoing risks with the CoVID19 pandemic. SOPHIE, the creative artist and producer, has tragically died in a freak accident. Halsey has announced that she's expecting a baby and news that Harry Styles is dating House star Olivia Wilde broke earlier in the month. Foo Fighters have been busy ahead of the release of their new album, Rag 'n' Bone Man returned with All You Ever Wanted and Lana (Amongst other things) released the title track of her up coming album, Chemtrails Over The Country Club. That's not all, January also gave rise to some other new music, and this is our pick of the bunch.

According to an initial report by TMZ, the 26 year old pop star had had to visit hospital twice in the preceding couple of weeks, both as a result of a very low white blood cell count – something that can be a side-effect of transplant surgery.
Gomez had been discharged from hospital late last week but was back days later with the same complaint – and when staff refused to discharge her a second time, she “freaked out” and had an “emotional breakdown”.

No-one wants to propagate the stereotype that people who work in the fashion industry - largely editors and designers - are mean-spirited and responsible for the vast majority of models suffering from low self-esteem, but Stefano Gabbana is doing a pretty good job of that himself.
