Pirates of the Caribbean is a multi-billion dollar Walt Disney franchise and is the brain-child of Gore Verbinski and Jerry Bruckheimer. The franchise includes a theme park ride, three highly successful films as well as numerous video games and children's toys.
The first film "Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl" was released in 2003 and starred Johnny Depp, Bill Nighy, Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom, Stellan Skarsgård, and Naomie Harris.
Johnny Depp has made the main character Captain Jack Sparrow, a loveable drunken pirate, one of the more indelible characters of recent movie history.
The second movie broke box office records on release, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" released in 2006 and the third movie "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" is also a highly anticipated release.
Having played no part at all in 2011's On Stranger Tides, Bloom will be returning to the cast for Dead Men Tell No Tales in 2017.
Great news for fans of Pirates Of The Caribbean as Disney has confirmed that Orlando Bloom will be returning to the cast for the fifth instalment. The announcement was revealed at Disney’s D23 expo on Saturday (August 15th) after the star himself had previously expressed uncertainty as to whether he would get the nod.
Bloom, of course, was missing from the fourth movie On Stranger Tides back in 2011, having played Will Turner, one of the franchise’s central characters, in the first three movies dating back to 2003. But it seems now that his role will be revived in some way for the 2017 release Dead Men Tell No Tales alongside Johnny Depp’s eternal favourite Captain Jack Sparrow.

Trying to follow Johnny Depp and his companions who were (never thought I'd say this about Johnny) definitely too close to me, as my head and eyes were unbelievably hurt from sitting in the second row, right in front of the cinema screen, I was wondering if the Pirates Of The Caribbean series would ever end.
