The fourth and fifth spots on Friday were occupied by Oscar contenders The Wolf of Wall Street and American Hustle with $2.7 and $2.6 million respectively. Martin Scorsese’s Wolf is headed for a $9 million weekend, about the same as the predicted earnings for David O’Russel’s Hustle.

This would put the Christian Bale starrer at about $95 million total. The Wolf of Wall Street, meanwhile, should finish the weekend with an overall total of $72.3 million.
