Liam Gallagher claims Oasis were ''far too sensible'' by the time they split.

The Beady Eye singer caused the demise of his former band by falling out with his brother, Noel, backstage in Paris in 2009, causing him to quit, but Liam claims the group had lost their edge by then anyway.

He said: ''It got far too sensible for me. There were lots of little glasses of wine getting poured. Oooooh, I'm having a little glass of wine tonight.

''It's like, 'F**k you, I'm getting the tequila and getting off my f***ing box, so I'm going to have to leave this room because the party is in the next room.' So yeah, it got a little sensible man, far too sensible for my liking.''

Liam's bandmates Gem Archer and Andy Bell are both still friends with Noel - who Liam doesn't speak to - but he doesn't mind the fact they hang out together.

He added to NME magazine: ''They didn't fall out with him, did they? I just say, 'Say hello to the **** for us.' That'll be about it.''
