This year’s Golden Raspberry Award nominations have been released, with Fifty Shades of Grey and Jupiter Ascending leading the pack. The annual awards celebrate the very worst in movies over the past year and two films have picked up six nominations each, including Worst Picture and Worst Director.

Fifty Shades Of Grey’s stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson also both picked up nominations for Worst Actor and Worst Actress, respectively. The couple also jointly picked up a nomination for Worst Screen Combo.

Also with six nominations is the Wachowskis’ space opera Jupiter Ascending. Along with a Worst Picture nomination and a Worst Director nod for the Wachowskis, the film also scored a Worst Actor nomination for Channing Tatum. Mila Kunis was also nominated for Worst Actress, while Eddie Redmayne, who is more used to Golden Globe and Oscar nominations, received a nod for Worst Supporting Actor.

Animated feature Pixels also took six nominations including Worst Picture, Worst Actor for Adam Sandler and Worst Supporting Actor for Kevin James. James was also nominated in the Worst Actor category for comedy sequel Paul Blart Mall Cop 2

Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 also received nominations for Worst Picture and Worst Remake or Sequel. The critically panned Fantastic Four reboot is also up for Worst Picture and Worst Remake or Sequel, while Josh Trank is nominated for Worst Director.

The annual awards show also recognises stars who have gone from “all-time Razzie champ to award contender”, with the Razzie Redeemer Award. This year Sylvester Stallone, Will Smith, Elizabeth Banks and director M Night Shyamalan are all nominated.

This year’s Razzies will be held on February 27th, the night before the Oscars. The awards are voted on by 900 members from 47 US states and 21 foreign countries and the winners receive a $5 gold spray-painted statue.

In the past some stars have even attended the ceremony to pick up their awards, including Halle Berry and Sandra Bullock who both appeared in person to receive their Worst Actress gongs.
