Yadiris Monsalve and her spouse suffered a travel nightmare after missing their flight back to Venezuela following a vacation in Panama.

Airline staff allegedly refused to help the tourists and told them they had to pay a penalty of $782 (£489) in the local Balboa currency to reserve seats on another flight, but the couple only had Venezuelan bolivars left.

Monsalve claims they had no choice but to sleep on the floor of the airport for two days before her prayers were answered when singer Nacho, real name Miguel Ignacio Mendoza, came across the desperate pair at the airport and offered to help them get home.

Together with his bandmate and travel companion Chino, they purchased two new tickets for the couple and asked for nothing in return.

Monsalve recalled the lucky encounter on Facebook.com, revealing Nacho told her, "I do not need anything (in return), just thank God and never lose faith!"
