Harry Styles' Grandmother Dies

Harry Styles' grandmother has died.

The One Direction hunk, 20, flew from Los Angeles to the UK yesterday (05.09.14) to attend his Nanny S' funeral, before returning to the US to join his band.

Harry's father Des confirmed his mother's death on Twitter after ''#RIPNannyS'' was trending on Twitter.

He tweeted: ''As some of you worked out, Nanny S passed away. H and Gem [Harry's sister] came to funeral yesterday which was lovely & private. They both gone to LA now. X (sic).''

He added: ''Thanks for all the messages. Mum was 86 and poorly a long time so it was coming but still sad when it does. She is at peace now though. X (sic).''

Harry is yet to comment on his grandmother's death but was bombarded by adoring fans as he touched down in LAX airport in Los Angeles last night.

Meanwhile, the hunky star rushed to Beryl Styles hospital bed last year after she fell ill.

Des tweeted at the time: ''Thanks to Harry for going to visit his nanny. Very kind and thoughtful especially as I'm away. Thanks son.''

He added: ''She's hanging on in there. Tough old thing.''
