Modest Mouse And Wolf Alice To Hit London's Calling Festival 2015
By Holly Williams in Music / Festivals on 10 March 2015
The bands join Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds in Clapham Common this July.
Modest Mouse and Wolf Alice are the latest additions to the steadily growing line-up for Calling Festival 2015; a day festival that will see thousands flock to Clapham Common in London this summer to experience the latest and greatest in rock music.
Washington six-piece Modest Mouse and North Londoners Wolf Alice hit the Calling bill alongside the likes of headliners Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, and previously announced Ryan Adams and the Shining, The Hives, and Echo And The Bunnymen. Eventually, and without any fanfare, a band gradually began to assemble onstage beginning a jam which morphed sneakily into a very slick and tight cover of Marvin Gaye's classic 'How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)'. This band were precisely the kind you'd expect Stevie to have backing him these days. They had 'LA session dudes' written all over them but they demonstrated enough playfulness and swing to make it work.
