An American Idol wannabe who has been disqualified for concealing details about his criminal past has four outstanding warrants to his name.
Singer Jermaine Jones, who was informed of TV producers' plans to kick him off the show on Tuesday (13Mar12), has had multiple run-ins with the law, according to Tmz.com - and he gave police a false name on two occasions in the past year in a desperate bid to avoid prosecution.
In March (11), he was involved in a fight at a Howard Johnson Hotel in New Jersey and charged with public nuisance and obstruction of justice.
And in November (11), he was charged with hindering apprehension and giving false information to avoid self-discovery when he gave authorities another fake name after he was questioned as part of a traffic stop. He was also arrested for having outstanding warrants.
Tmz.com editors have now discovered Jones has a total of four outstanding warrants to his name - three for driving on a suspended licence and one for disorderly conduct.
Jones concealed the arrests, charges and warrants from American Idol's risk management team when TV bosses asked him for information about his past that might be detrimental to the programme.
The singer will officially exit the U.S. TV talent contest during Wednesday night's (14Mar12) show.
