Spitting Games
Spitting games is a near-perfect indie
single, complete with a 100% whistle-able “doo-doo” hook.
They’re a little bit Feeder, a little bit Belle & Sebastian
(but much more fun). It’s kind
of reminiscent of the heady brit-pop heyday when you’d
wake up to ‘Wake Up Boo’ on Chris Evan’s
breakfast show, and hell, maybe even want to get out of
bed. Snow Patrol are doing a good breaking-in run of all
your favourite dingy indie venues now, so catch ‘em
while they’re cheap. If Spitting games is anything
to go by it’ll be the sort of ticket you can show
off whilst they’re doing… well, at least slightly
larger venues…
