Abandoning his usual scowl, Kanye West looked cheerful enough as he signed autographs and took pictures with fans upon arriving at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). He grinned apologetically as his entourage asked photographers not to ask questions.
A rap fan catches up with Kanye, wishing to perform for him his own lyrics and Kanye happily listens as he walks. However, the embarrassed fan appears to stumble midway through his rap, but Kanye continues to smile and gives him an encouraging nudge. In response to one reporter quizzing him about President Obama and whether or not it's true he calls him up (the President recently insisted he didn't), Kanye said: 'I love Obama. He called our house before, he knows that. Don't try to pit us against each other!'
