Following her successful residency at the Planet Hollywood throughout 2014 and 2015, Britney Spears has announced that she’ll be extending her stay in Las Vegas for two more years.

The 33 year old began her residency, called ‘Britney: Pieces of Me’ back in December 2013, and has performed roughly 50 shows per year. She made the announcement to the crowd during her show on Wednesday night (September 9th), saying “I have some big news tonight - I am going to be in Vegas for two more years!” This was later confirmed via a press release.

Dates will now through to December 2017, meaning that Britney will have been there for a full four years by the time ‘Pieces of Me’ wraps. Tickets for performances running January to April 2016 will go on sale on September 14th.

For anybody worrying about whether such a show will become repetitive, Spears has promised that the show will be getting significantly overhauled, with different songs and a higher degree of showmanship to make it even more of a spectacle.

“I definitely have some major changes planned. I'm getting together with my team this week to go over the set list, design some new costumes and dream up new props,” she said via the press release.

Speaking to E! about her decision to stay in Vegas for the foreseeable future, Spears revealed that she had enjoyed the residency so much that she couldn’t “imagine saying goodbye” to the show and her crew just yet. “I'm not ready to leave Vegas yet! I'm so proud of the show, and my band, my dancers and my crew have all become such a family to me.”

Earlier this summer, Britney had expressed doubts over whether she would continue her residency, saying to the same publication: “I haven’t made up my mind. I really love doing the show. It’s a lot, a lot of fun but I’m kind of torn right now. I don’t really know what I want to do.”
