ABC Upgrades 'Agents of SHIELD' Season 2 to 9pm Time Slot
Agents of SHIELD aired its season one finale this week - but season 2 has already got a bump up the schedule
Following the huge success of the first season, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D has been bumped to the prestigious 9pm timeslot on Tuesdays for season 2 on ABC. The network recently announced its autumn schedule, which sees one hour of new comedy leading into the Avengers spin-off show.

As Den of Geek note, the new 9pm time slot may well give the show mores scope to develop characters.
ABC has also confirmed that the recently commissioned Agent Carter series would fill SHIELD's midseason gap in the schedule - meaning we could be without the show for around 10-13 weeks before the concluding few episodes.
Agent Carter will star the character from the Captain America movies, played by the British actor Hayley Atwell. It started out life as a short movie bundled with the Iron Man 3 DVD, with Carter doing menial office work after her partner Steve Rogers had been frozen in Arctic Ice. She receives a call that tells her she is the co-head of the new SHIELD organisation. Agent Carter will expand the story, with Carter balancing her desk job with secret missions.

The show will air on ABC but Marvel also has a partnership with Netflix to create yet more spin-offs, beginning with Daredevil.
The epic will unfold over multiple years of original programming, taking Netflix members deep into the gritty world of heroes and villains of Hell's Kitchen, New York," wrote Marvel in a statement.
