Stranger Things star Jamie Campbell Bower reunites with brother and Counterfeit bandmate Sam on first music in 6 years
The music video for Waiting For Your Love premieres at 4pm on Thursday (19.03.26).
Jamie Campbell Bower has reunited with his brother Sam for their first musical release together since the breakup of their punk band Counterfeit — and fans of both his music and Stranger Things era are already buzzing.
The actor and musician revealed on X that the pair have teamed up on a new track titled Waiting For Your Love, marking their first collaboration since Counterfeit split in 2020.
He wrote: “March 19… Sees the first collaboration between me and Sam since COUNTERFEIT. Who’s ready? I’m scared…”
He added: “I made a song, it’s called Waiting For Your Love, it’s out tomorrow. Sam wore slippers to help make this track. That seems important.”
Bower, who shot to global fame playing Henry Creel/Vecna in Netflix’s Stranger Things, fronted Counterfeit from 2015 until their disbandment.
The London‑formed band — known for their high‑energy shows and politically charged punk sound — released their debut album Together We Are Stronger in 2017 and toured extensively across Europe and the US before announcing their split three years later. Sam Bower served as the band’s guitarist, making this new collaboration a full‑circle moment for long‑time fans.
The new track leans into the emotional, atmospheric style Bower has explored in his solo work, with lyrics that include: “And do you ever feel the motion? / And have you ever seen the sun / Setting far across the ocean? / And I will promise you the best is yet to come…”
The chorus continues: “’Cause I can’t give up on forever / And if I stay a loaded gun / ’Cause I can’t live with now or never / But I am worthy, I am worth it / I am hopelessly just waiting for your love.”
The release arrives as Bower continues to balance his music career with his ongoing association with Stranger Things, where his chilling performance as Vecna became one of the show’s defining turns.
