Harry Styles has praised Rosalía’s latest album LUX, calling the multi‑lingual project a "brilliant" expression of her artistic identity.

The Aperture singer, 32, discussed the record during an appearance on the Royal Court podcast and said he was struck by how deeply personal the November release feels.

He said: “I think it’s great. So brilliant.

"What is really inspiring to see when you see something like Lux is it’s so obviously for her. It’s so obviously to fulfil something that we get to watch.”

Styles’ comments follow similar praise from Madonna, who previously revealed she had been listening to LUX on repeat after receiving an early copy.

The pop icon, 67, hailed Rosalía as “a true visionary” and shared her excitement on Instagram, telling the singer she “can’t stop listening.”

LUX sees Rosalía performing in 13 different languages, including on the lead single Berghain, a collaboration with Björk and Yves Tumor that blends English, German and Spanish.

She told The New York Times she used a mix of translators, teachers and intuition to ensure the lyrics worked across dialects, describing the process as an exploration of how different languages sound and feel.

The Spanish star said singing in multiple languages allows her to “expand” her artistry, explaining that she loves learning from people around the world and sees language as a natural extension of that curiosity.

Rosalía also reflected on her long‑standing admiration for Björk, recalling their first meeting in Barcelona as an “instant crush of admiration.”

She said the Icelandic singer’s unique way of thinking left a lasting impression, and that she hoped the material on LUX would be strong enough to send to her. T

he pair eventually collaborated on the album, which has drawn widespread acclaim for its ambition and experimentation.
